I am a pen and paper girl.
Electronics and computers and phone apps have their place of course, but when it comes to calendars and schedules and to-do lists I need to write it down. I’ve tried all the apps (and some of them are amazing, to be sure), but without fail I always go back to my true love: old fashioned pen and paper.
A friend introduced me to the Erin Condren life planners a couple of years ago, and they have been one of my favorite things ever since.

Beautiful, functional, sturdy, and inspirational. I write in, and refer to, my planner over and over, week after week. It’s perfect for to-do lists, reminders for emails I have to answer, blog posts I need to write… and keeping track of appointments and play dates and football practice in my 3-D life too. 🙂 And, bonus, it’s just so pretty.
When I recently ordered my planner for 2016, they mistakenly sent me my order and someone else’s. I emailed them right away to let them know. Within just a couple of hours they had gotten back to me to thank me, and told me that they’d send out a new one to the other customer, and to just keep or give away or toss the other one so I wouldn’t have to be hassled with sending anything back to them. (1. Hurray for AWESOME customer service, and 2. Would anyone actually THROW AWAY a perfectly good $50 planner?? I cry at the thought)
So, their error is your gain! I would love for the extra planner to go to one of my beautiful readers.
I replaced the personalized cover with “The Best is Yet to Come” cover that came on my own planner before I bought one with my name (full disclosure: it’s a little scuffed from sitting in my desk drawer). You can either keep it as-is, or order yourself a personalized cover from their website (covers are about $10) The inside is brand-new and untouched and crisp and beautiful. If you’re unfamiliar with Erin Condren, these are heavy-duty, spiral-bound planners. They have laminated tabs to easily flip to the right month, a removable plastic ruler/bookmark to keep your place, a monthly view and a weekly view for each month, a few pages of lined, gridded, and blank notebook pages at the end, a couple pages of stickers for birthdays and appointments, some more pages of blank stickers, and a folder and a ziplock pouch in the back filled with even more stickers and little freebies. They’ve truly thought of everything.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that my heart is fluttering even just looking at the pictures again.

I have long been eye balling one of these planners. I prefer paper and pen for schedule keeping, too.. I need one of these to keep track of lessons and activities for home homeschooling 4 year old and I!
I’m a paper planner too. I still even draw myself little maps when I need directions even though my phone could tell me. It’s gotta be something about being a little generation X and a little millennial.

I too am a pen and paper girl. I love my iPhone and all it offers but my paper calendar is way more useful to me. As a homeschooling mom of twin boys I need to see an entire day/week/month at a glance.

I have the worst mom brain lately. I plan stuff and then my husband says we aren’t home for that. I’m constantly changing everything around. I do have a calendar on my phone but never use it because it has a lot of my husband’s work stuff on it. I’m thinking a real calendar would help me out.

I am a homeschool mom of 11 years and am also a pen and paper gal…… AND a list maker, note taker, planner guru, and a schedule maker, etc etc. I have not heard of these planners but I am curious since I have been actively looking for the perfect planner fir myself. I volunteer running a home school co-op and this might work out well for me.

My friend got one of these this year and it is beautiful. I barely plan at all-I think because I have no beautiful motivation to do so 😉 I love pretty paper and pretty books, so this could do the trick go me. How exciting!
It is a blessing to work with a planner that suits one’s individual lifestyle. And that lifestyle changes regularly, for everyone. That said I have been contemplating what to do or create for 2016 so perhaps this will be the solution 🙂 Thank you for sharing 🙂
After researching different systems to help me organize my life while giving me path to igniting & expressing my love of paper, pens & organizers I discovered Erin Condren. I haven’t yet purchased one, but I already know I want to remove the coil and insert into my new Filofax A5 Finsbury. I love this community that I had to idea existed. I love this giveaways origins.

I am right there with you on the pen and paper thing. I love planners and my life is so crazy I refer to mine multiple times a day. I have in the past thought about purchasing one of these planners because they look absolutely awesome, but alas the funds are just not there at the moment. I need a planer because I am still in school, and I am very disorganized. I have lots of activities and without writing them down, I wouldn’t get to them most likely. I have been looking for a new planner since mine ends next month and unfortunately don’t have the money to purchase one with.

After trying every app known to man, I finally realized that I have to have pen and paper to keep things straight. I would love to try this planner!

I need an Erin Condren planner because I work full-time, go to grad school part-time and still need to care for my home and family and track a budget.
